Apple Readying Production for Larger-Sized iPhones

Apple suppliers are reportedly gearing up to start production for its larger-sized iPhone next month, a new report suggests.
According to a Bloomberg report, sources familiar with the matter say production for Apple's two larger smartphone devices — one with a 4.7-inch display (compared to the 4-inch iPhone 5S screen) and an even bigger 5.5-inch version — will begin in July.

While some previous reports say the next-generation iPhone 6 could launch in August,Bloomberg is reporting that the devices will ship in September. This prediction is more in line with Apple's tradition smartphone launch cycle; the company traditionally launches its next-generation iPhone in September.
Earlier this year, an alleged leaked document of what was believed to be a schematic of the iPhone 6 provided hints that the new Apple smartphone could be in the 5.5-inch range. This would be Apple's first foray into larger handsets, often referred to as "phablets."
Samsung kicked off the bigger smartphone market in 2011 when it announced the original 5.3-inch Galaxy Note phone. Other manufacturers such as HTC, Nokia and LG rolled out similar sizes soon after.
The iPhone 6 is rumored to have improved maps and a strong focus on fitness.
